Why The Great & The Good?

Having each recruited for creative agencies for over 20 years, we’ve heard all sorts of reasons why companies don’t work with recruiters. In this series, we give real-world examples of The Great & The Good addressing the most common concerns whilst also showing where we have been able to add real value.

#2 we're in it for the long haul

Some recruiters are seen as only after a quick buck. We find that tends to be at odds with building strong relationships with both agencies and talent.

For example, a long-standing client had been briefed to work on a campaign that required not only a specialist skillset but also fluency in a second European language. Luckily, we instantly knew who they should speak with.

It quickly transpired however that the agency had already spoken with the candidate a few months previously via another recruiter. Despite knowing full well that any fee would be due to the other recruiter, without hesitation we suggested that the agency make an offer. Which was quickly accepted.​
