Why The Great & The Good?

Having each recruited for creative agencies for over 20 years, we’ve heard all sorts of reasons why companies don’t work with recruiters. In this series, we give real-world examples of The Great & The Good addressing the most common concerns whilst also showing where we have been able to add real value.

#3 our candidates stay in their roles

The perception of recruiters can be that we just send you anybody. We don't really understand the role and will simply suggest anyone who vaguely looks about right.

Ultimately though, recruitment means working with people. People who (understandably) have their own interests, dreams and needs - not to mention lives away from work. As a result, any hire needs to work as much for the candidate as for the company.

Much as we’d love to say that we hit the spot every time, nobody’s perfect. That said, we like to think we’ve got a pretty good strike rate – over almost 12 years, we’ve only had to repay the fee three times for a hire not working out.

On the flipside, we're especially proud of the hires we've made who have had huge impact on the business: the Account Manager who's still there 15 years later as MD; the midweight Writer now winning awards and leading the creative offering.
